Halder venture is successfully running two modern rice mills. Being a modern rice mill, it produces a valuable bye-product i.e. rice bran. Keeping in view the market prospect of rice bran oil produced from rice bran, the company decided to set up a 250 TPD solvent extraction plant at Siuri, West Bengal i.e. P.K Agri Link Private Limited. The extraction plant processes rice bran for production of edible oil instead of low margin trading of rice bran and also deals with the production of deoiled rice bran(DORB).
Rice Bran Oil
Rice bran is an agricultural waste obtained in the processing of paddy in modern rice mills, which in turn is a potential source of rice bran oil since the bran contains more than 20% of oil. This product has gained popularity as an edible oil amongst the vegetable oil. The boosting factors behind its popularity is that it is found to have tremendous cholesterol lowering and therapeutically capabilities. Rice Bran Oil contains high level Tocopherol which gives oxidative stability to oil. The RBO has high squalence content which is good for maintaining integrity of skin. Rice Bran fatty acid contains 18%-20% palmitic, 2%- 4% stearic, 46%- 50% oleic and 28%- 30% linoleic acid. The commercial utilization of rice mills bye-product like rice bran attracts as one of the important sectors of investment from point of view of processing of rice bran for extraction of oil.

DORB (Grade-I)
Deoiled rice bran(DORB) cake, obtained as a bye-product of crude oil extraction, is used in production of cattle and poultry feed. Both these products are intermediate agro products for ultimate production of refined rice bran oil and cattle/poultry feed. Deoiled Rice Bran is actually derived from the outer layer of rice, which contains many significant nutrients. Manufactured from Bran of the best quality, our Deoiled Rice Bran is filtered through many stages to give free-flowing, pure composition. The process of extracting and de-oiling of the Bran is undertaken by us using the latest machinery to ensure a homogenous mixture that is free from any impurity. Economical yet rich in Amino Acid, methonine, cystine and Lysine.
